Build notes / Design note

How are we making our work visible?

We are bringing today’s effort alongside the future vision: a real screen, a replayable experiment and the founder’s own reasons for building.

Watt2Work

Watt2Work’s first story focused on trust, the team and long-term infrastructure goals. We wanted to add the work happening today. It matters to us that a visitor can see the question we are working on and how we approach it.

Question: How can visitors see our curiosity?

A vision image describes where we want to go. A screen from a local prototype shows a question we are exploring today. We are giving each its own place and context on the homepage.

Experiment: Make room for the working screen and build notes

We ran an evening outage in SIM’s energy game and captured its screen. We moved the illustrative data center image into the long-term vision section. Dated work entries and these build notes make our questions and next steps easier to follow.

Observation: An output needs its context

Explaining what a number in a screenshot means is part of the work. We therefore publish the SIM image alongside its scenario inputs and limits. We have not yet measured how this website change affects visitor behavior.

Next: Add notes when there is new work to share

For each new piece of work, we want to record the question, experiment, observation and open issue. Dates will reflect real work, and customer examples require sharing permission. Readers’ questions can help shape our next experiment.
